About Us
South Oakland Warthogs is a group of public servants, comprised of Fire Fighters, Police Offices and others of public service. Included are 10% of the membership who are non-public safety people. We are motorcycle enthusiasts based in south-east Oakland County, Michigan, just north of Detroit. We meet up for motorcycle trips in the warmer months when the weather is good and there is the very slightest reason to ride. We arrange weekly rides when a member comes up with a place to go..
Although we're based in the south-east Oakland County, we don't stay on our own turf: We try to make other chapter meetings and their functions on days other than the second Tuesday of the month..
When we're not riding, we often meet up in a local pub to talk about our recent adventures (ANY excuse to ride).
